ZZ Top to play at Crossroads Guitar Festival

Concert-goers won’t have to sacrifice quality or quantity at this year’s Crossroads Guitar Festival.

Though some festivals have hundreds of unknown bands playing, the Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festival has acts like ZZ Top, Buddy Guy, BB King, the Allman Brothers Band, Vince Gill, Jeff Beck, and more.

The festival was held only twice before—in 2004 and 2007—and all the proceeds are donated directly to his Crossroads Center rehab program. So go buy your ZZ Top tickets and know that your purchase just made someone’s life a little better.

The 2010 Crossroads Guitar Festival will be held on June 26 at the Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Illinois.

ZZ Top Carries On Alone

ZZ Top could have put touring plans on hold when their joint outing with Aerosmith was sidelines after frontman Steven Tyler was injured on stage, but instead they decided to carry on.

The rockers are celebrating their 40th anniversary as the same three drinking, raucous rockers from Texas, and they aren’t disappointing fans….in fact, some say they were sounding even better than ever.

Singer/guitarist Billy Gibbons, singer/bassist/keyboardist Dusty Hill and drummer Frank Beard are known for hits such as “Gimme All Your Lovin’” “Sharp Dressed Man,” “and “Legs.”  Recently, they have been wowing fans with a frisky cover of “Foxy Lady” by Jimi Hendrix.
